Course description
The course is designed to form knowledge on the development of festival and conference tourism in the world as well as in Ukraine, the features of these types of tourism, the history of their development and attractiveness for tourists. Functions and dysfunctions of festival tourism in the context of impact on tourist space, the main factors of the development of festival tourism in the second half of the 20th century will also be studied in the terms of the course. Students will get acquainted with the process of management and marketing of festival and conference tourism.
The aims of the course are to acquaint students with the essence, meaning, principles, forms of festival and conference tourism; to form fundamental knowledge and concepts of festival and conference tourism.
