Course description
The discipline “Religious Tourism” is an elective discipline in the specialty 242 Tourism for the bachelor’s degree program, which is planned in the 8-th term of the 4-th year of studying, it comprises 4 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer and Transfer System ECTS).
This course covers the study of religious historical and cultural resources, organization and conduct of religious tours, protection and use of historical and cultural heritage, cultural attractions and their influence on tourism interest, religious tourism development programs in Ukraine.
This course has a purely practical focus. It is designed for senior students who have already had a certain theoretical basis after studying a set of special disciplines, namely, tourism resources, organization and economics of tourism, basics of tourism, historical and cultural tourism. Its methodology involves mandatory practical consolidation of theoretical material.
