Course description

“Environmental Management System and Audit ” is a normative discipline for students of the speciality “Environmental Protection Technologies” and  “Ecology”, an educational program of master’s degree. It is taught in the 1st and 2nd semesters in the amount of 3 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).

The curriculum of the course forms students’ ideas about management systems and audit, the appropriate mechanisms for their implementation; gives a holistic view of the system of eco-management system and eco-audit in accordance with international standards of the ISO 14000 series. As a result of studying this discipline, the student will know the features of implementation of the environmental management and audit in enterprises, industries, regions (from conceptual provisions of national importance to specific standard procedures with practical examples).
