Course description

International Cooperation in Ecology is a normative discipline for students majoring in 183 Environmental Protection Technologies, an educational and professional Master’s program, which is taught in the 1st semester in the amount of 3 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System ECTS).

The aim of this course is to acquaint students with the main institutional and legal mechanisms of international cooperation in solving global and international environmental problems; tasks of the UN and specialized governmental and non-governmental organizations in solving modern environmental problems.

To teach students to analyze judicial and arbitration practice in cases related to the settlement of international environmental disputes, to characterize the main provisions of international conventions and agreements in the field of environmental policy, to which Ukraine is a party.
