Course description

Objective: to acquire knowledge of geography of population.

Task: To learn the theoretical knowledge from different fields of geography of population; methodology of scientific research of population; scientific skills of analysis, synthesis; to master the methods of population mapping.

After doing the course a student has to:

know: basic theoretical principles of geography of population and its subsystems, geospatialregularitiesof world’s populationorganization, regions and individual countries, including Ukraine.

Be able to: use various sources of information about population, analyze them and draw upconclusions, graphically display statistical information, create map schemes.
