Course description

Alternative Energy is a normative discipline for students majoring in 183 Environmental Protection Technologies, an educational and professional Master’s program, which is taught in the 1st semester in the amount of 3 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System ECTS).

The depletion of traditional energy resources, the growing negative impact of energy on the environment and, consequently, the strengthening of economic requirements have led to the need for rapid development of alternative energy sources. Which types of alternative energy have a high potential for development in Ukraine, which are completely safe for the environment, and which have certain risks and shortcomings will be discussed in the course “Alternative Energy”.
