The monograph “Aggravation of geopolitical relations in the postmodern period and the situation of Ukraine” by professor of the Department of Geography of Ukraine Myroslav Dnistryanskyi was published.
It reveals the influence of new worldviews of the postmodern period on the change of geopolitical consciousness and geopolitical thinking of various analytical and state-political environments. Resonant postmodern geopolitical publications are analyzed and the research methodology of current territorial and political problems is substantiated. Considerable attention is paid to the reflection of the latest trends and contradictions of geopolitical interaction at the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. The problems of the geopolitical development of Ukraine during the 90s of the 20th – the beginning of the 21st century, the prospects of restoring its territorial and political integrity and countering information sabotage in the field of ethno-national relations and historical memory are revealed. Reasonable opportunities for strengthening the geopolitical role of Ukraine on the European subcontinent are substantiated.
