Students of the Department of Geography of Ukraine visited Lviv Open Lab and got acquainted with the functioning of the youth space

On September 14, 2021, the first year students of the educational program “Urban Studies, Spatial Planning and Regional Development” and the third year students of the specialization “Spatial Planning and Geourban studies” visited Lviv Open Lab – a city youth center, a space for innovative education, created to popularize science and technology.

First, students were given a tour of the youth center. Next, director Olena Pavliuk presented Lviv Open Lab, talked about its mission and vision, its role in the youth policy of Lviv, its importance as a significant public space in Sykhiv area.

In the context of the urban approach, the center’s employees and students defined the essence of the network of youth spaces “Twory!” (which, in addition to Lviv Open Lab, also includes MoloDvizhCenter in Lviv and Pixlab Prostir), and also outlined opportunities for participation of geographers in youth activities in Lviv.
