On September 15, 2021,  the assistant professor of the Department of Geography of Ukraine H.M. Labinska conducted an educational excursion dedicated to the topic: “The role of public spaces in the development of the settlement” for students-geographers, GRF-31c, as part of the course “Spatial Development Management”. The group successfully used the opportunity to explore E. Malanyuk Square, which has recently attracted attention due to the installation of a monument to F.K. Mozart; evaluate the new organization of space on the street S. Rudanskyi and try out the parklets located here; see the renovated square of Koliivshchyna; and through Na Valakh Square to reach Mytna Square, the reconstruction project of which in 2020 received a diploma of the 1st degree of the National Award for Landscape Architecture in the nomination “Best Implemented Object of Public Space / Square Category”.
