On September 25– 28, 2024, the Department of Geoecology and Physical Geography of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv will hold an international conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of its foundation. The theme of the conference is related to (but not limited to) interdisciplinary landscape studies, which are the leading specialization of the department.

Congratulations to fourth-year student Kateryna Khomenko on obtaining a second-degree diploma at the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in geography and her supervisor, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor of Physical Geography Yevhen Tykhanovych.

Congratulations to the Liudmyla Kurhanevych and Yurii Andreichuk, Associate Professors of Department of Constructive Geography and Cartography , Volodymyr Bilanyuk , Associate Professor, Physical Geography Department, Dean of Faculty of Geography, authors of the textbook “General Hydrology” for the first place in the competition “The best textbook of natural sciences 2019-2020”. We sincerely congratulate the winners and wish the submission of new creative tops to them!

The dream of our colleague, docent of the Department of Physical Geography, Bohdan Muha (17.11.1943-30.01.2019) has come true. The  monograph “Topoclimates of the Chornogora” was published. You can read and buy this edition at the University Bookstore.
