Course description

“Tourist and resource potential of the territory” is a selective discipline for students majoring in “Tourism”, of the educational program for bachelors training. It is taught in the fourth semester in the amount of 4 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).

The curriculum of the course acquaints students with the concepts of “tourist resource potential” and “tourist resources”, their differences, the importance of tourist resources in human life and their place in the structure of tourist resource potential of Ukraine.

After completing this course the student will be able to: distinguish the main structural components of tourist resources: natural-geographical, natural-anthropogenic and socio-historical, apply different methods of their evaluation, analyze the territorial features of location and use within tourist and recreational zoning of Ukraine.
