Course description

“PR and e-marketing in the hospitality industry” is an selective discipline for students majoring in “Hotel and Restaurant Business”, of the educational program for bachelors training. It is taught in the 8th semester in the amount of 4 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).

The curriculum of the course provides future professionals with a set of knowledge about the peculiarities of PR-work and resources of the travel company and hotel and restaurant company on the possibility of their use in tourism.

After completing this course the student will be able to: determine the specifics of image formation and PR-messages of a travel agency, determine the place of PR-units in the structure of the organization, learn about the use, formation and distribution of PR tools, apply methods of PR-work in tourism ; analyze the activities for the implementation of the plan of PR-activity, have the technology to create websites in the hotel and restaurant industry, etc.
