Course description

The discipline “Modern Eco-Technologies in Ukraine and the World” is a normative discipline in the specialty 183 “Environmental Protection Technologies” for EPP masters, which is taught in the first year in the I semester in the amount of 3 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).

The course is designed to provide students with the necessary knowledge required to develop the necessary skills and abilities to understand the implementation of modern and latest environmental technologies in Ukraine and the world.

The purpose of the discipline is to study the technological and environmental foundations of environmental management, modern technologies for protection and restoration of environmental components, waste-free technologies and processes, development of waste disposal, integrated use of secondary raw materials, and new alternative energy sources in Ukraine and the world.

After completing this course the student will know: basic theoretical approaches to the ecologization of modern production; modern technologies for protection of atmospheric air and water environment from pollution, as well as protection of subsoil, preservation of land and soil quality; main directions of development of green energy in Ukraine and the world; modern technologies of protection against acoustic and vibration pollution; modern technologies for solid household and industrial waste management, their utilization and disposal.
