Course description

The discipline “Methods of complex physical-geographical research” is an elective discipline in the specialty 106 “Geography”, which is taught in the 6th semester in the amount of 3 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System – ECTS).

The aim of studying the discipline is the formation of basic, systematic knowledge and practical skills in the organization of complex physical and geographical research as part of the sciences of the geographical cycle.
In the process of studying the discipline, students are acquainted with the theoretical foundations of research methods; acquire practical skills of complex research and organization of field research (with subsequent consolidation in practice); learn to independently explore natural geographic features, develop and create cartographic models using geographic information technologies.
