Course description

The «Hospitality Activities» course is an optional university-wide discipline, which is taught in the 5th term in the amount of 3 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System, ECTS). Its aim is to help students form understanding of general hospitality activity aspects, some facts about the history of this sphere, its development, and modern tendencies within hospitality industry.  The course pursues the following tasks: to consolidate the knowledge of hospitality theoretical essentials; form a vision of the way the hospitality industry functions; ethical, psychological, and aesthetic aspects; the main rules and principles of high quality service; to explain the peculiarities of doing business in the field of hospitality.
