Course description

“Basics of Scientific Research” is a normative discipline for students majoring in “Tourism”, of the educational program for bachelors training. It is taught in the fifth semester in the amount of 3 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer System ECTS).

The curriculum of the course involves the acquisition of theoretical knowledge about research methods and their application at different stages of writing student research papers.

After completing this course the student will be able to: understand the basic concepts of research and structural elements of science, organize research and know its main stages, have the basic methodological principles of term formation, apply laws, patterns and principles of research, take an active part in further students research and improve the writing of term papers, bachelor’s and master’s theses.
