Participation of associate professor of the Department of Geography of Ukraine Andrii Zubyk in an international remote scientific and pedagogical internship

In the period from April 20 to April 29, 2022, associate professor of the Department of Geography of Ukraine Andrii Zubik took part in the international remote scientific and pedagogical internship for teachers of higher education institutions “Educational and scientific activity in a contemporary university: challenges, solutions, prospects” on the basis of Bialystok State University.

The purpose of this internship was to deepen the knowledge and develop the competences of the scientific and didactic staff of Ukrainian universities from the point of view of challenges, solutions and prospects in teaching and research activities in a contemporary university.

During the internship, the following thematic blocks were considered:

• international cooperation of border universities. International cooperation between border universities;
• development of students’ creative thinking;
• online education – tools to activate students;
• tutoring in the teacher’s work;
• barriers and best practices in access to higher education for people with disabilities from the perspective of students and staff;
• improvement of research skills. Publication of works in prestigious scientific journals – from idea to implementation;
• methodology for obtaining grants for academic research;
• theory and practice of public speaking.

Based on the results of the cycle of educational lectures-webinars, a certificate with a total volume of 180 hours / 6 ECTS credits was obtained.
