Meeting with the Finnish-Estonian scientific delegation

On January 20, 2025, a meeting with representatives of the University of Turku (Finland) and the University of Tallinn (Estonia) was held at the Faculty of Geography in the Laboratory of Hotel and Restaurant Business as part of the joint project “Repatriation of Ukrainians from the EU to Ukraine, 2022-2024”.
Among the guests were Professor Jussi Jauhainen (University of Turku) and employees of the International Research Center of the University of Tallinn.
Among the Ukrainian participants were Associate Dean for Scientific and Educational Work Associate Professor Yevhen Tykhanovych, Project Coordinator from the Ukrainian side Associate Professor Olga Mamchur, and representatives of the Department of Tourism, Senior Lecturer Yurii Zinko and Associate Professor Andrii Manko.

The joint project ended with the publication of a monograph “Repatriation of Ukrainians from the EU to Ukraine, 2022-2024 / Edited by Prof. Jussi Jauhainen. Turku, 2024. 128 p.” by Prof. Jussi Jauhainen (Department of Geography and Geology, Institute of Ecology and Earth Sciences, University of Turku), Dr. Marta Reimann (School of Humanities, Center for International Cooperation, University of Tallinn) and Associate Professor Olha Mamchur (Oleg Shabliy Chair of Economic and Social Geography, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv).
They discussed the results of the project and the possibilities of further cooperation between the scientists of the Geography Faculty of LNU and the Finnish-Estonian group of scientists.
In yet another pleasant surprise, Dr. Mart Reimann from the University of Tallinn, who is not only a scientist but also an active volunteer for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, will be donating another equipped SUV to our soldiers.
