Head of the Department of Tourism Prof. Marta Malska was awarded on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Vincent Paul Academy of Applied Sciences in Lublin (Poland)
Department of Tourism faculty congratulates the Head of the Department, Honored Professor of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Doctor of Economics Marta Malska on receiving a prestigious award on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Vincent Paul Academy of Applied Sciences in Lublin (Poland).
Nowadays the Academy is a modern and dynamically developing institution offering 11 study programs in Polish and 9 in English. Every year, the range of educational offerings of the Academy expands in order to thoroughly prepare students for current trends and requirements of the labor market.
Professor Marta Malska has been actively involved in the Academy’s development over the years of studying at the Academy, particularly in the field of health and medical tourism.
Currently, this field is being significantly developed at the Department of Tourism of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv – Associate Professors Oresta Bordun and Anna Hrytsyshyn are active promoters and participants in the international project “Health tour” within the framework of DAAD. Jointly with the students of the department, they have repeatedly attended internships at the Degededorf Technical Institute in Pfarrkirchen (Germany).
The cooperation of the Tourism Department and the Vincent Paul Academy of Applied Sciences is long and fruitful. Thus, in 2003, the leadership of the Vincent Paul Academy assisted in the creation of the department by providing a library of textbooks by leading Polish scholars in the field of tourism and hotel and restaurant business.
The Vincent Paul Academy of Applied Sciences co-organized the 12th International Scientific Conference Geography, Economics and Tourism.
