Course description
«Urban Tourism» is a normative discipline for bachelors majoring in the «Tourism» educational program, which is taught in the 5th term in the amount of 3 credits (according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System, ECTS).
The aim of this discipline is to provide future professionals with a set of knowledge about the features of urban tourism in the world and in Ukraine. The main tasks of the «Urban Tourism» discipline are to provide students with a set of knowledge of the theoretical and methodological foundations of urban tourism, general ideas on cities and their features, tourist resources in cities, images of cities, geography of the main urban tourism types. Having fulfilled the course requirements, students will be able to professionally deal with the information about urban tourism development and practically use it while forming tourism products, branding, and tourism images of cities.
